Sensor Signal Conditioner

PrecisionSensor Signal Conditioner ICs with built-in correction and first-pass calibration

Designing sensor interfaces for nonlinear, temperature-dependent transducers can be quite challenging and time consuming, and producing them in volume is often expensive due to long test cycles on costly production test equipment.  ZMDI Sensor Signal Conditioner ICs facilitate both design and production of sensor interfaces by providing highly accurate, widely programmable gain and quantization functions combined with powerful, high-order digital correction and linearization algorithms, all in one energy-efficient product that is easy to use and supported by expert software and sensor system design experience.  A distinct advantage of our correction algorithms is that they are calibrated and programmed in an efficient “single-pass” operation that lowers costs by reducing test time and loading of production test equipment without sacrificing precision.

The SSC standard product family interfaces with two main sensor types: resistive bridges and differential capacitors.  For a particular sensor type, further specialization targets the optimal performance and price point for the required operating voltage and temperature range, gain and resolution, input/output format, and qualification level.  Refer to the chart below for more details on the available options and features.
