Carlo Rebughini joint ZMDI in May 2009 as Executive W.W. Vice President Sales and Marketing coming from a 30 year career path of international experience in the semiconductor industry. Mr. Rebughini held top sales positions with AMS (from 1983 to 1997) as well as with Maxim where he was responsible for the European sales organization from 1997 to 2003. He re-joined Austriamicrosystems AG in early 2003 to head the worldwide sales and marketing organization.

Frank Schulze (Business Line Manager Automotive)

Frank Schulze (Business Line Manager Automotive)

Frank Schulze joined ZMD AG in 2001 as Development Manager Infrared-ICs. A year later, in 2002, he was promoted to Business Line Manager for infrared products, with responsibility for a product line with €10 million annual revenue. Following an internal reorganization in 2005, Frank was appointed Business Line Manager for the newly created business line for automotive products. In this position, he is responsible for the operative management of the business line, which currently generates an annual turnover of €17 million, as well as for the strategic development of the automotive business line, focusing on sensor signal conditioning ICs for automotive applications.

Before coming to ZMD, Frank worked at AMI Semiconductor in San José, California. The different positions he held included Digital Design Engineer and Field Applications Engineer. When the digital design management group of AMI GmbH Dresden was taken over by ZMD in 2001, Frank made the transition, too.

Frank studied Communications Engineering at the University of Rostock. His studies included a semester in Antwerp, Belgium and an additional course in English translation. Following his graduation, Frank was recruited for a research project at the University of Rostock, where he worked for one and a half years.

Andreas Heldwein

Andreas Heldwein (President ZMD America, Inc. / Business Line Manager Medical and SSC Global)

Andreas Heldwein’s career spans 15 years in business unit management, marketing, and electrical engineering at international high-tech corporations in the United States and Germany.  Mr. Heldwein joined ZMDI in 2007 as manager of the medical business unit. In mid 2009 he moved into his current position as president of ZMD America where Mr. Heldwein is responsible for developing and executing growth strategies and ensuring that all lines of business within ZMDIs US organization are running efficiently.  

Before joining ZMDI, Mr. Heldwein was a global marketing manager for standard products and strategic marketing manager for AMI Semiconductor.  He has also held product management and engineering positions at Philips and Daimler Corporation.

Mr. Heldwein graduated from the Technical University in Esslingen, Germany, with a BS in electrical and micro-mechanical engineering.  He holds an MBA in marketing and finance from the University of Utah where he is a distinguished alumni of the David Eccles School of Business, recipient of the Marvin J. Ashton Scholarship Award and the university’s David Eccles Fellowship.

Bernhard Huber

Occupational career

Bernhard Huber joint ZMD AG in October 2007 as Business Line Manager Standard Components. He holds full Profit and Loss responsibility for the standard components business unit, including sales, marketing and Research and Development. Moreover he is responsible to define distribution strategy and set up of the distribution network for ZMDI with focus on standard components.

Dr. Michael J Ohletz (Exec. VP Operations & Corporate Quality)

In 1989 he received the Dr.-Ing degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hannover, Institute for Electrodynamics, for a thesis on a Hybrid  Built-In Self-test technique. Afterwards he was research group leader and established the “Analogue & Mixed-Signal Design and Test” team at the Information Technology Lab in Hannover.

Between 1998 and 2002 he was working for Alcatel Microelectronics in Brussels, Belgium where he started as Mixed-Signal Design engineer and later project leader for automotive ASIC products. In 2001 he joined the Business Unit where he became Tactical Marketing Engineer for European Key Automotive Accounts.

Since 2002 he was working for AMI Semiconductor in Belgium a NASDAQ registered world leader in Semiconductor Supply of Automotive, Industrial, Medical and Structured Digital Products.  In the same year he became Manager in the Mixed-Signal Business Unit running the European Program Management team, responsible for around 100 international ASIC projects representing a three-years revenue of about m400€. In 2004 Dr. Ohletz was appointed Director of Quality & Reliability with the office located in Oudenaarde, Belgium. As corporate management member his responsibilities included the European Q&R organisation, the Corporate Customer Quality Management and the Analysis Centre Organisations in Asia, Europe and NA. Between 1998 - 2006 Dr. Ohletz was living in Brussels, Belgium. Dr. Ohletz holds the Ing.(grad) degree from the FH Osnabrück and the Dipl.-Ing. Degree from the University of Hannover.
